Geolynx Team

Geolynx is now among the latest company selected to join the Estonian Business Incubator Centre of the European Space Agency (ESA BIC Estonia), part of the Europe-wide ESA BIC network that supports innovative startups using space technologies and data.

What Is ESA BIC and Why It Matters

ESA Business Incubation Centre (ESA BIC) Estonia is part of the Europe-wide ESA BIC network, that provides entreprenues, and start-ups access to ESA expertise, knowledge and data, laboratory and testing facilities of the participating universities and hands on business development support from the Incubation Centre teams.

Geolynx’s Mission and Collaboration with ESA BIC

Geolynx is developing a platform that integrates remote sensing and spatial datasets to create a dynamic web-based platform for financial institutions to assess environmental impacts and assets of interest, including real estate properties, ports, carbon and biodiversity land development projects, forests, and agriculture.

Through this collaboration, Geolynx will accelerate the development of its DGGS-based (Discrete Global Grid System) geospatial data platform, which simplifies how organizations analyze, monitor, and report on environmental and sustainability metrics.

“We are utilizing state-of-the-art technology, including satellite time-series data (Sentinel 1, 2, and 5), meshed and aggregated with authoritative data into a Discrete Global Grid Systems (DGGS) data cube, our platform offers unparalleled spatial analysis capabilities. This innovative approach simplifies complex spatial data analysis, reducing the required expertise while maintaining rigorous scientific standards. Additionally, our collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA) enhances data accessibility and scalability, positioning us as leaders in the space-connection industry.” - Alexander Kmoch, CEO & Co-founder

Looking Ahead

In partnership with ESA BIC, Geolynx will continue building web-based tools for ESG reporting, environmental monitoring, and data-driven decision-making, which are all supported by open-source geospatial technologies like QGIS, PostGIS, and Python. This marks another step toward bridging the gap between Earth Observation data and sustainable business practices.
